Everything you need from a full-sized notebook now comes in a new size: small. Forget what you know about most netbooks; this isn’t one of those. Sony’s new VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC is a full-featured, high-end device that provides the functionality of a large notebook but occupies very little space in your carry-on bag or briefcase. Do you need Windows Vista® and Microsoft Office®? You won’t find them in most netbooks, but you will find them in the VAIO P, thanks in part to the device’s 1.33GHz Intel® processor, 2GB memory, and high-capacity storage. In addition to traveling well (it’s smaller than the typical best-selling novel and weighs 1.4 pounds), the VAIO P actually helps you travel. With built-in GPS capabilities, the VAIO P knows where you are at any given time and offers on-screen turn-by-turn directions, even without Internet access. Staying connected to the Web isn’t a problem, though, as the VAIO P also features Verizon Wireless mobile broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity. The VAIO P is available in a variety of configurations, too, so you can buy just what you need. • Integrated GPS provides turn-by-turn directions like you’d find with a standard navigation device—that is, no Internet connection is required • 8-inch screen; device is 4.72 x 9.65 inches (HxW) with screen open Pricing starts at $899.99 | Sony | www.sonystyle.com |
