Brother Personal Laser Printer HL-1435 |

The printer features a print speed of as much as 15ppm (pages per minute) and a maximum print resolution of 1,200 x 600 dpi. It includes 4MB of memory, which you cannot increase. However, because the HL-1435 uses GDI (Graphics Device Interface) emulation, it can take advantage of your computer's memory when printing complex documents such as graphics files. Although cables are not included, the printer offers parallel and USB (Universal Serial Bus) 1.1 ports. Its paper tray holds 250 sheets, and the printer accommodates plain paper, envelopes, cardstock, labels, and transparencies. Brother includes the TN-430 toner cartridge in the box, which lasts for about 3,000 printed pages. You can purchase the TN-460 high-yield cartridge that prints as many as 6,000 pages. Additional features include manual duplexing, power-saver mode, and toner-saver mode. The unit's control panel includes toner low, toner empty, and drum replacement indicator lights. In addition, you can use the X In 1 printing option (where X is the number of original pages) to automatically scale-down pages and fit two to 25 pages on a single printed page. The printer's footprint is small, with physical dimensions of 9.3 x 16.9 x 14.2 inches. Brother supplies printer drivers for Win9x/NT4.0/Me/2000/XP, and the printer comes with manuals and interactive help for setup and troubleshooting. Brother also offers online help at solutions.brother.com along with a one-year warranty. |
